Area Sales Manager (ASM) positions open located in the following areas:

• Colorado
• Northern California (San Fran area)
• Houston
• Indiana
• WV & Western PA 

SUMMARY
The role of the Area Sales Manager is to secure business equal to or greater than the territory target approved and assigned by the Sr. VP of Sales. The overriding goal is to meet or exceed the sales revenue goal.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.
• Is responsible for all sales activity within a geographic area and achieving targeted business objectives. 
• End-User,OEM, A&E, System integration growth is the focus of this position
• Identify the key market segments in their geographical territory listing the major customers (end-user, OEM, system integrator) per each market segment.
• At minimum, make sales calls every 2-4 weeks to A accounts insuring our growth and stability
• At minimum, make sales calls every 6-8 weeks to B accounts insuring our growth and stability
• Migrate all C&D accounts and telesales with potential to be A and B accounts.
• The ASM is expected to document their sales planning and other activities in the company’s CRM program that is to include; Calendar, Notes, Quotewerks and Opportunities keeping that information current at all times
• ASM is to be able to utilize and work with SAP, iBis, CRM & MS Office programs.
• The ASM is required to put keynotes of sales visits into the CRM program along with any quotations required.
• NCD (new customer development) is to be pursued and conducted daily where the ASM is to incorporate 1 hour/day to the research, calling and documenting their progress with the NCD team and CRM tool
• Contact all leads issued by NCD team, marketing, segment, RSM, Sr. VP of Sales and others within 24 hours of being issued, noting the actions in CRM.
• Pre-qualify leads thoroughly to determine potential validity before scheduling a visit.
• An ongoing project list is to be maintained and updated monthly with a goal of 3:1 of potential to sales ratio for territory goals of $2.5M and less and 2:1 potential to sales ratio for territory goals $2.5M and over. Incorporating the ADVINC approach is the process to be used for establishing and advancing the project.
• NBD (new business development) - existing opportunities must constantly keep progressing to close or document the proper reasons why it closed without order. 
• The individual is responsible for the sales results & budget for their geographic area.
• Sample requests (N/C items) must be approved by either the Sr. VP of Sales or RSM.
• Quotations involving gross margins of less than 35% must be approved by the RSM. 
• Quotations over $50,000 must be approved by the RSM prior to issuing to a customer.
• Must promote a professional, positive, energetic, team oriented, consultative selling environment across all sales channels within territory.
• Work with distribution training team in discussing account direction when applicable.  Each ASM is to communicate with their respective RSM and area DM in where they are pursuing opportunities.
• Develop and maintain territory profile in conjunction with the respective RSM requirements
• Provide a minimum 2 weeks advance planning in their calendar portion of the CRM program.
• The individual must work closely and effectively with their inside sales teammate at all times.
• Must be able to conduct lunch & learn presentations for key customers and potential customers.
• The individual conducts business according to the published expense budget for assigned area and with the approval of the RSM and/or Sr. VP of sales. 
• Expense reports for each month are due no later than the 5th of the following month.
• The ASM must support the goals and tasks of the RSM.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees the consistent direct sales growth of the assigned territory.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Communication, Business or equivalent certified completed technical training courses along with 3 years of sales experience in process valves, controls, sensors and other pertinent instrumentation required.

Position Title: Field Segment Manager (in the following industries)
• Water Treatment
• Food & Beverage/Steam (East)
• Pharmaceutical

SUMMARY 
The role of the Field Segment Manager is to be an entrepreneur responsible for growth and success in ones; market development, application opportunities, new customer growth along with being the company’s foremost authority on the applications & requirements for their specific segment. They are to generate sales through; Key Account Managers and Area Sales Managers, while supporting the company sales plan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.
• Responsibility for sales growth and annual goals in Target Segments, using attack strategies, to ensure sales and margin goals are reached, as agreed upon by the Sr. VP of Sales.
• Application development per one’s segment.
• Coordinate marketing efforts with the Marketing Coordinator, Key Account Manager and Sr. VP of Sales per one’s segment that at minimum includes; product launches, trade shows, data sheets along with other sales and marketing activities and documentation.
• Identification of new opportunities within one’s segment.
• Assemble and roll out business plans that provide sales growth to the respective segment
• Promotes duplication of sales success within one’s segment.
• The individual conducts business according to the published expense budget for assigned area and with the approval of the Sr. VP of Sales. 
• To drive the specifications of Burkert Solutions at: OEMs, A&E firms, Integrators and Corporate end-users for the following segments; Microfluidics, Water Treatment, Process Controls, Hygienic, Steam and Gas Handling.
• Deliver input into the global application database.
• Communicate directly with fellow SM’s locally, Global Segment team and factory personnel when applicable.
• New Customer Development (NCD) have on-going pursuits and development with the NCD department of NCD activities for their respective segments that could include but not be limited too; SIC code of listed potential, specific areas of a market, solutions and/or processes to pursue, applications that apply and questions to be asked and pursued for each opportunity.
• Trend data on the market such as current market size, market share and competitive positioning.
• Trend data on where the market is going.
• Prepare proposals of new products for meeting market demands.
• Prepare for where new products should be applied within one’s market.
• Provide market communication, which will include at a minimum of once per year speaking to a professional organization.
• Provide weekly report on key targeted accounts and communicate that information in company CRM tool in both the opportunity and note sections.
• Provide one-month advance planning in their calendar portion of maximizer.
• Support the, Key Account Managers and Area Sales Manager’s in their application and product efforts with the customer while following the rule of “one face to the customer”.
• Coordinate with Sr. VP of Sales input and conduct training for company employees and customers on products and application opportunities in your specific market.
• Maintain a current market strategy at all times.
• Insure that each month there is a 3:1 ratio of new opportunities to company sales goal effort in the project opportunities portion of Maximizer for your market segment.
• Individual can fully utilize the following tools; company CRM, SAP, Quotewerks and iBis
• List of target accounts to be pursued for specification acceptance and sales approved by Sr. VP of Sales.

Position Title: Project/System Design Engineer

SUMMARY:
Conceptualize and oversee the design and documentation of custom engineered system solutions to meet customer’s needs. Outline design, provide and manage creation of engineering documentation including CAD drawings, bill of materials, assembly, test and operating instructions/manuals in support of customized electrical/electronic and mechanical systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
·         Understand customer requirements then conceptualize and outline a system design to fit those requirements.  ·         Produce and document associated drawings, bill of materials and instructions for production, test and operation.
·         Manage the custom project order fulfillment process based on the documented company procedures and systems, including the supervision of system integration partners and/or subcontractors.
·         Provide system engineering assistance and technical troubleshooting support.
·         Produce, test and document prototype as per established processes.
·         Create and update drawings related to all custom solutions.
·         Design manufacturing tooling and develop production/assembly areas as needed and manage the fabrication of pre-production batches.
·         Verify and validate the production/assembly processes as per company quality management procedures.
·         Assist Purchasing Department with assessing, qualifying and selecting third party system vendors/partners.
·         Contribute to product quality by providing the necessary tools, documentation, information and corrective actions per Burkert quality policy and procedures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
BS in any engineering field a plus, prefer BSME or BSEE
Five years experience in the bio-pharma industry
Knowledge of ASME BPE
Fluid and steam experience a plus
CIP/SIP Systems experience a plus

LANGUAGE SKILLS
English- Proficient in reading, speaking and writing required
Spanish and German are a plus

Position Title: Quality Technician

SUMMARY:
The role of the Quality Technician is to support the Sr. Design Engineer and the quality team in meeting the company’s goals. This role is responsible for conducting testing to ensure products comply with quality standards and regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Interpret engineering drawing, prints, schematics and formulas
• Confirm with management and engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards
• Complete quality documentation to include recording test data by applying statistical quality control procedures
• Prepare data and analyze that data; communicate outcomes with appropriate engineers and managers
• Complete Statistical Process Control
• Contribute to product quality by providing the necessary tools, documentation, information and corrective actions per Burkert quality policy and procedures

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products
• Solidworks (basic knowledge)
• Knowledgeable in UL, CSA, FM Certifications
• Knowledgeable in ISO standards
EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent quality degree and experience required
• 2-5 years Quality experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS
English- Proficient in reading, speaking and writing required

Position Title: Mechanical Engineer

SUMMARY:
