Downstream systems

After fermentation (i.e. "downstream"), there is generally a process stage of "cell harvesting" via continuously operating separators. Further purification/ upgrading of the products is then performed via diverse filtration and chromatography steps. This downstream area is also an important application field of MicroFluidic components.
